UO Auto-Map - On-Line Documentation

Installing Non-Managed .MAP Files

The following text applies to .MAP files that are NOT downloaded through UOAM's update server. Files downloaded through UOAM's update server are automatically installed but you may still need to check the FILES pane to be sure that their labels are being shown.

There are two ways to install non-managed .MAP files for UO Auto-Map:

Method 1: Copy the file by hand.

  • Copy the .MAP file into the UOAM directory.
  • Run UOAM.
  • Go to the FILES pane and check the box beside the file name.

Method 2: Use Drag and Drop.

  • Run UOAM.
  • Use the mouse to drag the .MAP file and drop it on to UOAM's map window.

UOAM will then copy the .MAP file to your UOAM installation directory and install it for you.

At this point it is safe to delete the original copy of the .MAP file.

Further details on working with .MAP files, including how to uninstall them and how to create them can be found in the section of the documentation dealing with the Files pane.
